Winery Tour – Wednesday, May 22

Network with other risk management professionals during this fun event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22.  Participants will meet in the hotel lobby and be transported to three Old Mission Peninsula wineries for wine tasting (Mari Vineyard, Chateau Chantel, and Bowers Harbor. Lunch will be provided at the Jolly Pumpkin. Registration for this optional event is $75 per person. Register by May 15. No refunds will be given after May 15.

New Member Breakfast – Thursday, May 23

Members that joined MSHRM during the current membership year are invited to sit at the tables designated for new members during the Thursday breakfast. It will take place at 8 a.m. in the Michigan Ballroom. Don't miss this special opportunity to network with the MSHRM Board, members of the MSHRM Membership Committee and other risk management professionals!

40th Anniversary Dinner Party – Thursday, May 23

Join MSHRM in celebrating our 40th anniversary! The evening will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner and dancing will follow. Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to network with peers in a fun environment! Attendance is included for conference registrants. Guests are welcome for $75 each. Suggested attire is dressy/business dressy.

Hotel Reservations – Book by April 22

MSHRM has negotiated the following discounted rates at the Grand Traverse Resort.

  • Hotel Guestrooms—$149 per night
  • Tower Guestrooms—$189 per night

Rates are based on single/double occupancy and are subject to applicable taxes.  In addition, there is a daily resort fee of $16.95 which includes access to the fitness center, internet access and more.  Additional adults in a guest room will be charged a $15 per person, per night rate for the duration of the stay.

Make your room reservation directly with the resort by April 22, 2019.  After that date, reservations will be based upon availability. 

Greatest Risk Management Story

The search is underway! Send in your most interesting, unique or humorous tale which relates to an occurrence in the not-so-routine life of a healthcare risk manager. The winning author will be honored during the Business Meeting.  Remember the HIPAA rules! Entries are due by May 8.  Share your story by emailing it to info@mshrm.org.

Continuing Education Credits

Med-IQ is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

This activity is jointly provided by Med-IQ and MSHRM.

MSHRM is in the process of securing Continuing Education Credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow) and towards CPHRM renewal. Please check back for details.
